Paisley HALF MARATHON
HI EVERYONE,
- My name is Dave Wild, and I’m proud to be the organiser of the Paisley Half Marathon, as well as the founder of Future Sports Gear Ltd, a bespoke sports clothing brand based in the North of England with strong ties to Scotland.
- Our company has deep roots in both professional and grassroots sport, working with rugby, football, and athletics communities across the UK. In recent years, we’ve expanded into sporting event management, with the Paisley Half Marathon being one of our most exciting and meaningful projects to date.
- As a passionate runner myself, I’ve taken part in races across Wales, Yorkshire, the South West, and here in Scotland. Beyond running, I’ve also enjoyed sporting experiences such as golfing in Longniddry, which have deepened my personal connection to Scotland’s sporting culture.
- I’m passionate not only about grassroots sport but also about the wider sporting community in general. I know first-hand the sense of community, challenge, and shared achievement that sporting events bring — and that’s exactly the spirit we’re bringing to Paisley.
- The Paisley Half Marathon has been designed to showcase the town’s rich history, stunning riverside scenery, and warm community spirit, offering a unique and memorable race day experience for runners of all abilities.

Established in 2024 and based in Yorkshire, we were founded by runners who wanted to share the beauty and spirit of towns like Paisley, while promoting the benefits of an active, outdoor lifestyle.
Our events welcome runners from across the UK and are about more than just crossing a finish line. With intention and heart, we aim to create unforgettable experiences that inspire connection, community, and lasting impact.
